Company Profile

Eolica Dobrogea (Schweiz) AG was established in Switzerland during May 2007, to act as a Holding Company for wind energy projects that are under development in Romania. The projects in Romania are to be planned, engineered and developed jointly by NEK Umwelttechnik AG (established in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1989), and Eolica Dobrogea Srl., Constanta, Romania, together with the recently established company C-Tech Srl., Constanta. These companies have considerable experience in the development of wind energy projects worldwide, and Eolica Dobrogea (Schweiz) AG was proud to announce and elect these two companies to be its main engineering utilities for the Romanian wind energy portfolio.

Eolica Dobrogea (Schweiz) AG is the majority shareholder in Eolica Dobrogea S.r.l., Constanta, Romania, through which all wind energy projects of Eolica Dobrogea (Schweiz) AG in Romania are developed. The Romanian company was founded in April 2007, for the purpose of actively developing wind energy projects in the Dobrogea region of Romania.

Each wind energy project in Romania developed by the companies will be transferred into Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV’s) in order to allow an easy transfer of the project rights to third parties. These SPV’s were established in Switzerland and Romania during June 2007. Each SPV is 100% owned by Eolica Dobrogea (Schweiz) AG and each SPV has the right to own one or more wind energy projects in Romania.

Eolica Dobrogea (Schweiz) AG is a completely independent Holding Company controlled only by its shareholders.
